Are you ready? I'd like to personally invite you to something. Given the time frame and cost effectiveness, I can't put together official invitations to send out in the mail. But if I did, the phrase on the card would read: "It's not about you." Please, don't be offended by that. I just came back from a wedding and regardless of how much time I put into getting ready, in the end, all eyes were not on me. There's nothing wrong with that. I understand that guests hook themselves up as this adds to the importance of the event. I see it like this: people by their stylish fixing tell the one celebrated, "I honor you!"
Well, we are preparing ourselves and our hope is that you're making plans as well to come out to Audience of One (AOO) this Sunday night at 6PM. We took the summer off and we're coming back with a vengeance. We are going all out to honor the one we love: Jesus, the Christ. When we get together with him, there is no telling what's going to happen, the important factor in "spirit and truth style" worship, is that we accept those 2 dimensions as our parameters. Everything within those boundaries is completely acceptable to God and wonderfully spacious for taking care of "business" before him. Maybe we'll repent or sing for joy. Maybe we will reminisce or re-align ourselves to him. Whatever it is, this 90-minute moment will deal with reality through Jesus-glorifying music.
So, please check off the RSVP in your heart. He is worthy and worth it. This AOO is getting some extra finishing touches called: Yi-Ting Chiang on the violin, Nina Leal on vocals, Phil Hamilton on guitar and Matt and Hope dancing. So are you ready? Are you ready to declare to the Lord with your preparation and presence, "I honor you"? Then consider your seat reserved.
Oh, by the way, dress casual. :-)
