Audience Of One Is Back And Growing Up!

So this Sunday night is Audience of One. We haven't had one since September because its nice to have "selah" moments even in what we do corporately.

But AOO is growing up. We acknowledged from the very beginning that the extended time of worship was a response to the limited times on Sunday morning. And that's still true. But the most recent awakening is what happens during our worship. It's not all about us and what we're expressing. It's more about Him and what He is doing. That's right. I'm talking about spiritual formation.

Our spiritual formation is not limited to bible studies or devotional moments. It's not limited to the sacred altar moments were deliverance might be taking place. Spiritual Formation (or spiritual transformation) is an ever present event in the life of a believer. It's happening everywhere at all times, similar to the physical location of the church universal.

So while so much music, singing, dancing, and hand raising might be going on, there is a deep tissue work that is going on simultaneously and that is our spiritual formation. So you come with your worship groove on this weekend. Dress comfortable and give yourself plenty of room, in your seating area, to smash your alabaster box because Jesus is worthy. But remain sober and cognisant that there is formation/transformation happening while you worship. Don't be afraid. You may not even know it is happening. Sometimes its better that God doesn't let you and I know what He is doing. But I promise...everyone else will know He has done something.
