Saturday's Day of Renewal left us with a wonderful prayer agenda for 2012. We invite you to take these down and join us in continually lifting up these requests concerning Crossroads Tabernacle:1. Personal Renewal:
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.... Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." Ps. 51:10-12
Personal renewal begins with repentance; all renewal begins with
individuals.
2. Corporate Renewal:
"In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a
holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built
together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."-Eph. 2:21-22
We are seeking a new awakening in the life of 'Roadians beginning with corporate repentance; a "new cooperation" among believers wanting to fulfill the vision of God for this local expression and a "new sense of praying" into his vision.
3. Conceptual Renewal:
"...Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is...."-Rom 12:2
We are seeking a fresh new wind; that it blow over our "mind set", our ideas and concepts; old models challenged and risk-taking be the norm. Here is where we "rethink" what we are about.
4. Structural Renewal:
"I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress."-Ps 32:8
We are seeking God, that as old programs/structures fade and laid aside, the church will begin to "re-organize itself" to respond to the new direction that God is leading.
5. Missiological Renewal:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...."
-Matt. 28:19
We are seeking a missional renewal, as a church needing renewal is overly inward focused. So, we must be sure to "look outward" and pray that our renewal include a "new focus on mission and service" to the world around us.
